Job Description

Job DescriptionSalary: $75,000-100,000 DOE

The Construction Project Scheduler, under the direction of the project management team, is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring the project schedule. You will be a critical member of the team, interacting with internal staff, client project managers, contractors, and project stakeholders to provide critical analysis of the projects progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to define project timelines and sequencing of activities.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual performance.
  • Identify critical path activities and potential risks to project timelines.
  • Analyze delays and recommend corrective actions or schedule adjustments.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports, forecasts, and progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Maintain documentation of schedule changes, impacts, and project milestones.
  • Support claims analysis and delay documentation when necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred. Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience considered.
  • 37 years of experience in construction scheduling, program controls, or project controls.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project lifecycle.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
  • Familiarity with cost control and project management principles.
  • Certification such as PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional) is a plus.
