Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager leads and delivers complex, high-impact projects across the organization. This individual oversees projects from initiation through closure, coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, technologies, applications, and business areas to ensure successful delivery of project goals. The Senior Project Manager provides strategic oversight, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage multiple large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations, and effectively motivating project teams.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and manage detailed project plans and documentation, including schedules, scope statements, budgets, resource allocation, risk and issue logs, status reports and deliverables. Proactively monitor progress and adapt plans to address evolving needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive results in a collaborative environment.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly and consistently to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies and/or resolve issues promptly to minimize impact and maintain project momentum.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet defined quality standards and business requirements
  • Vendor & Release Management: Oversee vendor relationships and coordinate release management activities to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
  • Reporting & Communication: Regularly demonstrate effective and impactful communication by:
  • Providing regular status updates and performance reports to senior management
  • Reviewing team reports across projects and addressing concerns proactively
  • Collaborating with IT and business units to manage expectations and ensure alignment on deliverables
  • Facilitating effective project meetings, managing change and conflict when necessary


Anticipated Salary: $119,500 - $127,000 (Final Salary based on experience)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years in project management, with a strong track record of leading complex initiatives, required. Experience in platform migration from legacy systems to modern technologies is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; a graduate degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP), preferred.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies including SDLC, waterfall, hybrid, and Agile-Scrum
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools and software to track progress, manage resources, and report outcomes.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to inspire teams and drive results in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Prior work experience in the life insurance industry, a plus.
