SUMMARY The Enterprise Data & Analytics Lead is responsible for the governance, integrity, quality, and lifecycle management of the organizations master data across key domains (e.g., donor/constituent, employer/workplace campaign, gifts/pledges, sponsorships, volunteers, programs/services, vendors, employees, financial). This role establishes data standards, policies, and controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance across enterprise systems.The Enterprise Data & Analytics Lead partners cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Operations, HR, Compliance, and executive leadership to ensure that master data and foundational datasets support operational efficiency, trusted reporting and analytics, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making.This role is expected to evolve over time and may assume people-management responsibilities as the enterprise data and analytics function matures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSData Governance & Strategy:Develop and implement enterprise master data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.Define data ownership, stewardship roles, and accountability models.Establish and chair a data governance council or working group.Create and maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, and metadata standards.Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap for enterprise data governance, master data management, and analytics enablement.Data Quality & Integrity:Define data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness).Monitor and report on data quality KPIs.Lead root cause analysis and remediation of data issues.Implement data validation, cleansing, and standardization processes.Master Data Management (MDM) Operations:Oversee creation, maintenance, and deactivation processes for master data records.Ensure proper controls for data changes and approvals.Manage data hierarchy and cross-system synchronization.Partner with IT on MDM tools, ERP systems, and integrations.Sets standards and governs data; system owners and functional teams remain accountable for business processes and source system data entry.Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure master data processes meet regulatory and audit requirements.Support internal and external audits related to data governance.Mitigate risks related to inaccurate financial reporting, vendor payments, payroll, or operational disruptions caused by poor data.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Act as liaison between business units and IT.Gather and translate business requirements into data standards.Provide training and support to data stewards and end users.Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.Partner with reporting and analytics stakeholders to define trusted data sources and standardized datasets.Lead change management for data standards (communications, training, adoption tracking).Continuous Improvement:Identify automation opportunities in data workflows.Evaluate and recommend MDM tools and technologies.Develop dashboards and executive-level reporting on data quality, governance maturity, and data health.SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESKnowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).Experience with MDM platforms and data quality tools.Advanced Excel and familiarity with SQL or BI tools preferred.Understanding of system integrations and data architecture concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Detail-oriented with strong process mindset.Ability to influence without direct authority.Strong project management skills.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelors degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Management, Finance, or related field. 58+ years of experience in data governance, master data management, analytics enablement, ERP/CRM systems, or related roles.Experience with data quality tools and/or structured MDM processes (platform experience a plus).Strong understanding of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.).Experience working in regulated or audit-driven environments preferred.Preferred QualificationsExperience building or formalizing a data governance program.Experience with donor management, fundraising, nonprofit, healthcare, or membership-based organizations.Power BI experience.SQL experience and understanding of relational databases.Experience supporting enterprise system implementations or data migrations.Familiarity with Microsoft-based data and reporting technologies.Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and best practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $43.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
