Our client, a top-ranked AmLaw firm, is seeking a Senior Manager, Professional Development to lead training and development for its Litigation practice. In this role, you will shape how associates build their skills from junior to mid-level, and help integrate AI tools into the way litigators learn and work. Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Own the substantive training curriculum for the Litigation practice, designing, assessing, and improving programs suited to associates at every stage.
  • \n

  • Build AI-focused training that strengthens both foundational litigation skills and the specialized needs of individual practice groups.
  • \n

  • Work with practice group leaders to identify gaps in skills and knowledge and translate them into new or improved programs, refining offerings over time based on feedback.
  • \n

  • Lead and coach junior team members, keeping the daily execution and logistics of training on track.
  • \n

  • Support associates as they grow and as lateral hires join the practice, helping them integrate and advance.
  • \n

  • Partner across internal teams, including talent, inclusion, business development, pro bono, technology, and events, to deliver well-run programming.
  • \n

  • Contribute to firmwide development efforts such as new associate orientation and summer associate training, and provide support to other practice areas as needed.

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • JD Degree with meaningful Litigation experience at a large law firm.
  • \n

  • Experience managing training and development, knowledge management, or practice resources is a plus.
  • \n

  • A strong grasp of litigation practice and how associates build their skills across levels of seniority.
  • \n

  • Genuine interest and familiarity with AI tools.
  • \n

  • Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
