We are representing a Raleigh-based, growing, civil contractor, seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join its Raleigh-area operation.

Looking for a civil construction professional who wants stability (strong backlog over 5-6 years), and is looking for a career path to senior leadership locally.

What You'll Do
\n
- \n
- Manage multiple civil and transportation construction projects from planning through completion
- Serve as a primary point of contact with DOT representatives, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadership
- Manage project schedules, budgets, costs, production, change orders, documentation, and overall project performance
- Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and project resources
- Provide leadership and oversight to project and field staff, including Assistant Project Managers and other project-management personnel
- Work closely with field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specification
- Identify project risks and solve problems proactively before they impact schedule, cost, safety, or quality
- Utilize project management technology and reporting tools to maintain accurate, real-time visibility into project performance

What We're Looking For
\n
- \n
- Approximately 5–15 years of civil construction experience
- Some DOT experience
- Background in any civil infrastructure to be considered
- Strong understanding of project costs, scheduling, production, contracts, and field operations
- Comfortable utilizing technology, project management systems, spreadsheets, and construction reporting tools
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- A safety-first mindset and the judgment to make decisions that protect employees, the traveling public, the client, and the company
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving construction environment
- Must be willing to be physically based in the Raleigh, NC area

The Opportunity:

This role will have immediate responsibility for overseeing multiple active projects, with project and field personnel reporting through the position. That team may include multiple Assistant Project Managers as well as other Project Manager-level professionals, creating an opportunity to lead people and projects rather than simply manage an individual job.

The position will also have meaningful visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to participate in broader discussions around operations, project execution, growth, and the future direction of the business.
