The Senior Project Superintendent Position

The Senior Project Superintendent is responsible for the overall on-site management of construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This position supervises Project Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Interns while serving as the primary field contact for the project. The Senior Project Superintendent provides guidance and training to project staff, coordinates with Project Executives, Project Managers, Owners, Architects/Engineers, Contractors, Suppliers, and oversees jobsite operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality requirements.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Senior Project Superintendent Position

  • Prior construction experience, including at least seven to ten years as a Project Superintendent.
  • College degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a related curriculum is helpful.
  • Technical knowledge of construction materials, methods, and practices.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred certifications include OSHA 30, CPR, LEED Accredited Professional, or LEED Green Associate.
