Kenkotech is partnering with a rapidly growing TechBio company building large-scale human biological datasets to advance AI-driven drug discovery and our understanding of disease.
\n
The company works directly with patients, researchers and leading academic institutions to make previously inaccessible human biological data available at scale.
\n
\n
They are now looking for a Director of Data Partnerships to build and close partnerships with leading universities, academic medical centers, health systems and PIs across the US.
\n
\n
The Opportunity
\n
You will identify valuable human datasets and build the academic and institutional partnerships required to access them.
\n
This is a highly external, commercially focused role combining scientific credibility with business development and deal execution.
\n
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Build relationships with PIs, universities, academic medical centers and health systems
- Originate and close data access and licensing partnerships
- Work with technology transfer, legal and research teams to structure agreements
- Identify valuable clinical, genomic, multi-omic, single-cell and biospecimen datasets
- Build and manage a high-volume pipeline of potential data partnerships
- Work closely with the leadership team to develop the company's data acquisition strategy

Ideal Background
\n
- \n
- PhD or strong scientific background, ideally across biology, genomics, neuroscience or a related field
- Experience in data partnerships, scientific partnerships, business development, technology transfer or licensing
- Experience working with universities, PIs, hospitals, health systems or academic medical centers
- Strong understanding of human biological, genomic or clinical data
- Proven ability to originate relationships and move deals through to close
- Commercially minded, highly organised and comfortable operating at startup pace
