DESCRIPTION:PSCI is seeking qualified Telephone Operator I — Evening Shift candidates for anticipated telephone operations support at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. This is a full-time position supporting a 24/7/365 mission-critical operation. Recruitment and potential employment are contingent upon PSCI receiving contract award.   • Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls.
  • Provide courteous and accurate assistance to Veterans, patients, medical staff, employees, and members of the public.
  • Follow established procedures for routine and emergency communications.
  • Support after-hours telephone operations and appropriate escalation procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of telephone directories, organizational contacts, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
  • Participate in training, cross-training, quality-control activities, and operational-readiness assignments.
  • Provide qualified coverage during scheduled leave, callouts, or other staffing contingencies when assigned.
  • Perform related telephone operations duties within the contract scope.


Location: Kansas City VA Medical Center — Kansas City, MissouriShift: Evening Shift – 4pm to 12am; Full Time (40 Hours a Week)Pay Rate: $17.89/Hr. plus Health and Welfare

  • Worker will work on-site Full Time
  • No Clearance.
  • Must be US Citizen.
  • Status: CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

MANDATORY:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to accurately process multiple sources of information.
  • Ability to work effectively in a structured healthcare communications environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work the posted evening schedule, including applicable weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to satisfy applicable Government suitability, security, training, and onboarding requirements.


Important: This position is contingent upon contract award to PSCI and final Government approval/start authorization.
