EVAPCO Incorporated, a worldwide leader in heat transfer technology, is looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist for our Madera, California, facility.
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users across the organization, ensuring the effective operation of computer systems, software, and hardware. This role includes troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining and configuring workstations, supporting mobile devices, and administering user accounts and VoIP systems. The specialist will also manage IT assets, assist with software and hardware procurement, maintain documentation, and contribute to IT and maintenance-related projects. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in both office and manufacturing environments.
Essential Functions

Provide technical assistance and support for issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

Record, track, and document help desk requests and service calls in a timely manner, both in person and remotely.

Support and troubleshoot remote access and client VPN software.

Provide PC support and troubleshooting for in-house applications and workflows.

Rebuild PCs, including imaging, installing, and configuring Windows operating systems and client-side applications.

Install, configure, and maintain common peripheral devices in both office and shop floor environments.

Install and troubleshoot networking and Ethernet cabling.

Manage software and hardware licensing and asset tracking.

Administer and maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software and database.

Assist with creating purchase orders and managing hardware/software components.

Provide VoIP phone support and administration, including system adds, changes, and moves.

Maintain desktop backup and recovery software for client workstations.

Support mobile devices and configure email accounts.

Manage user and computer accounts in Active Directory.

Perform post-resolution follow-ups and maintain documentation.

Assist IT management and network engineers with IT-related projects.

Support the maintenance department on various projects and tasks as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with domains, PC hardware, operating systems, and software technologies.

Applications: Proficient in Microsoft Office 2007 or later.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.

Experience: Minimum of two years of IT-related experience preferred.

Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.4
