- Job Title: Data Analyst
- Location: 1560 Bruckner Blvd, Bronx NY - 10473
- Preferred Time zone if Remote: EST. Mon-Tue Remote. Wed-Fri in office
- Interview Process: 1 step interview with HM and Senior HM
- Type of hire (C/C-H/DH): Contract for 6 months with possible extension
- Shift / Schedule: 6am to 2:30pm or 7am - 3:30pm
PERFORMANCE DETAILS
What are the major objective(s) of the role?
Responsible for conducting data and information research, performing ad-hoc tasks, and utilizing computer skills to support various projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Conduct thorough data and information research to support project needs. Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the team lead or manager. Utilize computer applications and software to analyze and interpret data. Maintain accurate and organized records of research findings and project progress. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation as required. Always ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
What are the MUST HAVE technologies for this position?
1. Must have Power BI (preferred) or Tableau Experience
2. Proficiency in using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
3. SQL (strong SELECT statements, Multi-table JOINs (INNER, LEFT), Aggregations(COUNT,SUM,GROUP BY, etc.)
What are the MUST HAVE Critical Skills for this position
1. Data Analysis & Research- Ability to research, analyze, and interpret data to support business needs.
2. Advanced SQL Troubleshooting
- Read and understand existing SQL code.
- Investigate data discrepancies, missing records, and validation issues.
- Reconcile record counts across joins and datasets.
3. Dashboard Development & Reporting - Build and maintain Power BI/Tableau dashboards. Translate business requirements into meaningful visualizations.
4. Problem Solving & Investigative Skills- Able to independently identify root causes of data issues and explain findings.
What are the NICE TO HAVE technologies / Skills you would love to see on a candidate’s resume?
1. Customer Service Experience
2. Python- Data analysis, automation, or scripting experience.
3. Written & Verbal Communication Skills
4. Business Intelligence Experience- Experience working with reporting, KPIs, metrics, and business performance data
