Principal Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer / Technical Lead to help architect and build low-level platform software for safety- and mission-critical systems.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on embedded firmware, platform security, boot architecture, and hardware/software integration. You’ll work closely with hardware, systems, and software engineering teams while helping set technical direction for the platform.

\n

\n

What You'll Work On:

\n

\n
• Architecture and development of embedded firmware and low-level platform software.

\n

• Secure boot, bootloaders, hardware root of trust, key provisioning, and trusted execution.

\n

• Board bring-up, processor initialization, BSPs, drivers, and hardware validation.

\n

• Debugging complex hardware/software interactions.

\n

• Platform security architecture, threat modeling, and security reviews.

\n

• Integration of firmware with operating systems and higher-level software.

\n

• Technical leadership and mentorship across embedded, security, and hardware teams.

\n

\n

\n

What We're Looking For:

\n

\n
• Extensive embedded systems and firmware development experience.

\n

• Strong C/C++ and low-level programming skills.

\n

• Experience with secure boot, bootloaders, and embedded/platform security.

\n

• Hands-on board bring-up and processor initialization experience.

\n

• Strong understanding of SoCs, processor architectures, memory interfaces, and hardware abstraction.

\n

• Experience with hardware debugging tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, or oscilloscopes.

\n

• Experience providing technical or architectural leadership.

\n

\n

Nice to Have:

\n

\n
• ARM TrustZone, TPM, TEE, or similar secuirty tecnologies.

\n

• Linux kernel, RTOS, U-boot, or custom bootloader experience.

\n

• Security certification or platform-hardening experience.

\n

• Background with safety-critical or mission-critical embedded systems.
