Job DescriptionPosition: Design Engineer I
Pay: DOE
Location: Sand Springs, OK
OverviewWe are seeking a Design Engineer I to support the engineering, design, and production of custom industrial equipment. This position serves as the technical lead for assigned projects by developing engineering designs, performing calculations, coordinating fabrication drawings, and collaborating with manufacturing, purchasing, and project management teams to ensure products are delivered accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities• Review customer specifications and project documentation to determine design and fabrication requirements
• Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned projects and communicate directly with customers to resolve technical questions and obtain design approvals
• Perform engineering calculations and verify design accuracy for assigned projects
• Create preliminary bills of materials (BOMs) to support long-lead material purchasing
• Coordinate with drafting personnel to develop detailed fabrication drawings
• Review and approve fabrication drawings to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
• Modify engineering drawings and documentation as required throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide technical support to Purchasing, Manufacturing, and other internal departments
• Maintain organized electronic project files and engineering documentation
• Assist with engineering calculations, drawing reviews, and design support for other projects as needed
• Perform additional engineering duties as assigned
Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required, or Associate degree with 2+ years of related industry experience, or 5+ years of directly related industry experience demonstrating progressive engineering responsibilities
• Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, Division 1 design and fabrication standards preferred
• Experience with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or other industrial equipment is a plus
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and engineering design software preferred (RCS or COMPRESS experience is a plus)
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
• Occasional standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 20 pounds
• Work performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment
Schedule:• Monday – Friday, full-time
Pay: $55k+DOE
