Infrastructure Project Manager – Healthcare IT & Epic Deployment
Location: West Central Florida
Work Model: Hybrid, with increased onsite requirements during go-live
Contract Duration: Through August 2027
The Opportunity
A major focus of the engagement will be coordinating the removal of an existing patient entertainment platform and the deployment of MyChart Bedside TV across inpatient areas.
The ideal candidate combines healthcare IT infrastructure experience with a strong understanding of hospital construction, low-voltage systems, network deployments, end-user devices, and clinical go-live readiness.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead infrastructure workstreams supporting an enterprise Epic implementation and clinical go-live.
- Manage the removal of the current patient entertainment solution and deployment of MyChart Bedside TV.
- Coordinate the installation, replacement, testing, and activation of end-user devices in patient care areas.
- Oversee infrastructure activities involving structured cabling, wireless access points, LAN/WAN connectivity, and related low-voltage systems.
- Partner with IT, construction, facilities, clinical operations, vendors, contractors, and Epic project teams.
- Coordinate project schedules, field activities, device readiness, testing, cutover planning, and operational handoff.
- Track project risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, change requests, and vendor deliverables.
- Ensure infrastructure and endpoint requirements are completed before activation and go-live milestones.
- Support onsite command-center, escalation, and issue-resolution activities during the go-live period.
- Maintain clear project reporting and communicate progress to technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience managing IT infrastructure projects in hospitals, health systems, or other complex healthcare environments.
- Experience supporting hospital construction, renovations, expansions, technology refreshes, or facility activations.
- Working knowledge of low-voltage cabling, wireless infrastructure, WAP deployments, and LAN/WAN environments.
- Experience coordinating end-user hardware or device deployments across multiple clinical locations or departments.
- Proven ability to manage infrastructure vendors, contractors, installation teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience leading projects through planning, design, installation, testing, activation, and turnover.
- Ability to work onsite in Tampa as required throughout the engagement and 100% onsite during the primary go-live period, currently anticipated from April through July 2027.
Highly Preferred Experience
- Infrastructure project management experience supporting an Epic implementation.
- Epic go-live, cutover, activation, or infrastructure-readiness experience.
- Large-scale end-user device deployment associated with an Epic implementation.
- MyChart Bedside, bedside television, patient entertainment, or patient engagement technology experience.
- Experience working in active inpatient environments where technology changes must be completed with minimal disruption to patient care.
- Familiarity with MDF/IDF environments, network equipment deployment, wireless validation, and clinical endpoint readiness.
Additional Information
Success in this role will depend more heavily on healthcare infrastructure experience, construction coordination, technical understanding, and the ability to drive execution across a complex clinical environment.
