Manager, IT Systems Support
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid must be local to the area)
Overview
A growing healthcare technology organization is seeking a Manager of IT Systems Support to lead a team responsible for advanced application and infrastructure support. This role oversees 2nd and 3rd level support operations, ensuring enterprise applications and systems remain reliable, secure, and high performing. The manager will play a key role in supporting both internal business functions and patient-facing technologies, making a direct impact on operational excellence and service delivery.
Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of systems support analysts and engineers.

Oversee advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of application and infrastructure issues.

Manage day-to-day workload and prioritize support activities for timely and accurate service delivery.

Establish best practices, procedures, and documentation for technical support operations.

Drive product lifecycle management for enterprise systems and applications, including testing, configuration, and implementation.

Monitor system performance and reliability, proactively addressing risks and issues.

Coordinate system enhancements, patches, and updates in alignment with business priorities.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure requirements are translated into effective system configurations and workflows.

Support user acceptance testing (UAT), workflow development, and change management for system enhancements.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards within a healthcare technology environment.
Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

5+ years of IT support or systems administration experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing advanced support teams.

Strong background in API integrations, web applications, and enterprise platforms.

Experience with ITIL practices and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).

Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, regulated environment with multiple competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

ITIL Foundation or higher certification.

CompTIA Server+ or Network+ certification.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.

Experience supporting healthcare or pharmacy-related systems.

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential (a plus, not required).
