QA Inspector Supervisor- Job Description
The QA Inspector Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production output, the inspection team, and quality standards. They bridge the gap between floor operations and upper management.
Core Responsibilities:
Enforce product presentation and performance standards
Enforce workplace safety protocols and regulatory compliance across the production floor
Liaise with the Production Manager, Line Leaders, and Mechanics to resolve bottlenecks and align shift goals
Responsible for QA Inspectors to ensure proper documentation and follow GMP guidelines
Other Responsibilities:
Hourly Line Checks in Production area (up to 10 lines running simultaneously)
Verify all labels and tags for accurate product description, formula number, lot number, item number, etc. prior to product filling
Completing/ Verifying Production Paperwork. The Production Paperwork will include:
- Packaging Filling Sheet
- Line Clearance Inspection Sheet
- Tare Weight Calculation Sheet
- Shipper Label Sheet
- Label Specimen Sheet
- In-Process Packaging Inspection Sheet
- Finished Goods Inspection Sheet
- Work Order
- Reconciliation Form
- Finished Goods Completed Sheet
Work with QC lab to obtain bulk approvals
Pull samples from production lines for final QC testing based on sampling plan
Collect retain samples and store in correct location
Record in logs accurately
Follow GMP and safety guidelines
Maintain a clean, organized work area
Qualifications:
Required:
Relevant experience preferred
High school diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent
2-3 years of relevant experience
Attention to detail
Basic math calculations
Able to work well with other employees in a fast-paced environment
Available to work Saturdays/extended hours when needed (flexible)
Physical Demands:
Carrying, Lifting, Pushing, Pulling, Reaching
Able lift, carry up to 20 lbs
Standing, walking for extended periods of time
