This is a local role that allows technicians to be home every night while gaining experience on a variety of commercial low-voltage and structured cabling projects. What You'll Do
- Pull, route, and secure CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber-optic cabling
- Install cable pathways including conduit, cable tray, and riser systems
- Terminate copper and fiber cabling to industry standards
- Perform cable testing, troubleshooting, and certification using testing equipment such as Fluke testers
- Assist with fiber splicing and inside/outside plant installations when required
- Mentor and direct junior technicians on project work
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations
What We're Looking ForRequired Experience
- 1+ years of experience in structured cabling or low-voltage installations
- Experience installing and troubleshooting CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber-optic cable
- Experience pulling cable through conduit, tray, and riser systems
- Copper and fiber termination experience
- Experience testing and certifying cabling systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of low-voltage systems and commercial construction environments
- Understanding of electrical systems and jobsite safety practices
- Experience with fiber splicing
- Familiarity with TIA/EIA and BICSI standards
- Ability to read project drawings and installation plans

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
