QA Validation Engineer, Embedded Systems
Job Description
Job DescriptionA day in the life
You start your morning by powering up a mixed lab of Windows and Unix/Linux systems, configuring test benches and fixtures for a new hardware–software release. You line up the right combinations of devices, networks, and images, then kick off software download, pre-burn, run-in, and post-burn testing cycles. By mid-day, you’re refining detailed test plans, validating customer test bundles, and sanity-checking product releases before they move forward. In the afternoon, you analyze results, capture precise error reports, and sit with design engineers to pinpoint root causes and corrective actions. You wrap by updating test specifications, maintaining test suite configurations, and coaching teammates on procedures and equipment so tomorrow’s runs are even smoother.
