The Lead Architect plays a critical role in guiding design initiatives and managing architectural projects, ensuring alignment with both client needs and organizational goals. Overseeing a small team of 1-5 architects, this position balances creative leadership with technical oversight across both internal and client-facing projects. The role requires collaboration, strategic planning, and a commitment to quality and sustainability in design.
Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts and establish architectural vision for projects
- Plan and coordinate project timelines and resources
- Manage and mentor a small team of architects
- Collaborate with clients to understand and meet project requirements
- Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and quality standards
- Oversee budget management and cost control
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for successful project delivery
- Drive sustainability planning initiatives within architectural designs
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in architectural design
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Licensed Architect credential
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Project management skills
- Expertise in technical drawing and construction management
- Strong communication abilities
