Job Description
Senior Embedded Software Engineer
\n
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team developing innovative, connected embedded products. This is an opportunity to work across the full embedded software lifecycle—from low-level firmware and microcontroller development through debugging, optimization, hardware integration, and product delivery.
\n
\n
You’ll work closely with electrical, hardware, systems, and software engineers to develop reliable firmware for low-power, connected, and battery-operated devices. The role is well suited to an experienced embedded engineer who enjoys solving challenging technical problems and seeing their work become part of real-world products.
\n
\n
What You’ll Do
\n
- \n
- Design, develop, test, debug, and optimize embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
- Develop software in embedded C/C++ for low-power and connected devices.
- Work with both bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware architectures.
- Develop and integrate Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and other wireless connectivity solutions.
- Work with communication technologies and protocols including Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and cellular connectivity.
- Develop firmware for battery-powered and power-constrained products, with a focus on efficiency and reliability.
- Work with microcontroller peripherals and interfaces including I²C, SPI, GPIO, ADC, CAN, and UART.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and electrical engineers to bring products from concept through development and production.
- Read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and hardware specifications.
- Perform firmware verification, troubleshooting, analysis, and optimization.
- Use tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, and other test equipment to diagnose hardware and software issues.
- Contribute to technical requirements, architecture, design decisions, and engineering documentation.
- Help identify and resolve complex system-level issues across hardware and software.
