Our healthcare client is seeking an HRIS Analyst supporting HR systems, reporting, and workforce analytics. This position requires someone who is a highly versatile team member and is a key function within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, advanced Excel skills, and experience working with HR systems and data exports. This person will help transform workforce data into meaningful insights for leadership, supporting decision-making around attrition, retention, and overall HR trends. This position will be on-site in the Oak Brook, IL area with an opportunity to be remote one day a week depending on business needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage HR data in Paychex and SmartRecruiters, including reporting, exports, and data compilation across internal teams
  • Build and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, and reports tracking key HR metrics such as turnover, attrition, and retention
  • Analyze workforce trends and tell the story behind the data through clear insights and presentations for leadership, board meetings, and weekly business reviews
  • Assist with LOA and FMLA tracking and administration
  • Use advanced Excel functions daily, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other data manipulation tools



Required Qualifications

  • Strong systems experience with an analytical background, ideally working with HR systems and workforce data
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data manipulation
  • Ability to clearly articulate data findings and present them to leadership and executive audiences
  • Strong reporting and data interpretation skills
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Paychex (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with SmartRecruiters or other ATS platforms
  • Background in HR analytics, HRIS, workforce reporting, or a data-focused HR support role
  • Exposure to leave administration, including LOA and FMLA
