We are looking for a Software Engineer to support a growing technology organization in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This Contract opportunity is ideal for a developer who enjoys building custom applications, improving existing platforms, and contributing to modernization efforts in a collaborative environment. The role offers the chance to work across .NET , Java and AWS technologies while helping deliver scalable solutions that support critical business initiatives.
This is a contract opportunity with possibility for contract to hire/FTE.
Responsibilities:
• Create, enhance, and support custom software solutions using modern engineering practices across .NET and Java environments.
• Partner with stakeholders and technical team members to understand business needs and turn them into effective application features and technical solutions.
• Maintain and improve existing systems, internal tools, and connected applications to ensure reliable performance and usability.
• Build and support APIs and application integrations that connect enterprise platforms and streamline data exchange.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, code review, and deployment activities to maintain code quality and production stability.
• Use GitHub and source control best practices to manage code changes and collaborate efficiently with the broader development team.
• Contribute to cloud-related development work and broader technology modernization initiatives as priorities evolve.
• Prepare clear technical documentation for application logic, development workflows, and implemented solutions.

The ideal Software Engineer will have:
• 3+ years of software engineering experience in application development environments.
• Hands-on experience with .NET and C# for designing and delivering business applications.
• Working proficiency in Java and the ability to contribute across multi-language development efforts.
• Experience developing or consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle best practices, including testing and release support.
• Experience using GitHub or a comparable version control platform in a team setting.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud technologies is preferred.
