Role Description The Tower Technician is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lexington, NC, with some work-from-home tasks such as documentation and remote reporting. On a typical day, the Tower Technician will climb and work on communication towers, install and maintain antennas, lines, and related equipment, and perform routine and corrective maintenance on tower structures and systems. The role includes using hand and power tools safely, troubleshooting equipment and connectivity issues, conducting inspections, and documenting work performed in accordance with company and industry standards. The Tower Technician will collaborate closely with field teams, supervisors, and project managers, follow all safety protocols, participate in job-site planning, and ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements. Occasional travel to job sites within the region and working at heights and in varied weather conditions are core aspects of this position.

- Candidates should possess strong skills in the safe use of hand tools and basic mechanical tools for tower construction and equipment installation.
- Candidates should possess troubleshooting and maintenance & repair skills for tower hardware, cabling, and related communications equipment.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, supervisors, and customers, and for accurate reporting and documentation.
- Candidates should possess working knowledge of wireless networking concepts and equipment used in wireless communications systems.
- Ability to work at heights for extended periods, including climbing towers, with adherence to fall protection and safety standards.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various job sites in the region as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in telecommunications, tower climbing, or safety (e.g., OSHA, NATE, RF safety) are beneficial.
- Prior experience in tower construction, telecommunications, or related field is preferred but not strictly required for motivated candidates willing to learn.
