\nThe Pharmacy Analyst in our Pharmacy group will perform analysis, data manipulation and review of pharmacy claims and price data; work with pharmacists, programmers, database administrators and other analysts to create programs utilized to extract datasets; build fiscal impact models; perform quality reviews on program output; interpret data results; and prepare and format data for use by team members and clients.\n

Essential Functions And Primary Duties

- Assist with calculation of rates and fiscal modeling based on pharmacy data
- Assist on pharmacy related performance audits of health plans
- Assist on pharmacy benefit manager audits and claims audits
- Assist in the development of criteria and creation of programs with the program design team used to analyze pharmacy claims data
- Perform quality reviews of the data output
- Analyze data output and interpret results
- Manipulate and format data for ease of use by team members and clients
- Interface with multi-disciplinary team in multiple office locations
- Maintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information when analyzing material
- Maintain thorough electronic documentation

Preferred Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Database and spreadsheet application knowledge
- Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel, Word, and Access); familiarity with Excel macros
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server) preferred
- Experience working with various data visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc.
- Experience with querying large data sets from a variety of sources
- Experience reading and understanding stored procedures
- Experience loading tables into SQL
- Experience in the analysis of pharmacy or medical claims data
- Experience working for a Prescription Benefit Manager (PBM), health plan, or pharmacy claims processor is beneficial
- Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
- May require up to 10% overnight travel

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, health policy, health care administration, health information, criminal justice or related field
