Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Center Parts Distribution Technician to manage critical infrastructure inventory and parts fulfillment workflows. Working directly under the Data Center Technical Program Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting a dedicated enterprise customer within their data center facility. You will be responsible for executing parts fulfillment requests, managing day-to-day inventory lifecycles, and conducting strict inventory audits to ensure zero downtime. This role relies heavily on processing inbound service tickets, requiring a swift, accurate, and disciplined approach to logistics inside a live production environment.
Key Responsibilities

Execute the end-to-end parts distribution process, preparing and delivering hardware components to meet customer technical requirements.

Monitor, track, and update incoming technical requests via ServiceNow that have been approved by the Site Lead, adhering strictly to established SLAs.

Conduct routine, thorough physical inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain 100% accuracy of critical data center assets.

Work hand-in-hand with the Data Center Technical Program Lead to report stock levels, flag low-buffer exceptions, and escalating deployment constraints.

Receive, unbox, inspect, and safely store incoming infrastructure gear while documenting serial numbers and tracking assets accurately in the system.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, OR a minimum of 3 years of equivalent professional experience in logistics, inventory control, or technical operations.

Proven, hands-on experience handling inventory management systems, parts fulfillment workflows, and structured warehouse or data center logistics.

Prior experience working with ServiceNow (or a similar enterprise ITSM ticketing system) to receive, document, and close out operational workflows.

Demonstrated success executing precise inventory audits, serialized asset tracking, and cycle-counting protocols.
Preferred Qualifications

Foundational knowledge of data center hardware components (e.g., hot-swappable drives, RAM sticks, power supplies, SFPs, and network cabling).

Foundational certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Certified Logistics Associate (CLA).

Experience operating inventory handling equipment or a solid understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety practices for handling sensitive components.

Strong communication skills with an ability to coordinate effectively between the Site Lead and the on-site customer engineering teams.
