Agility Consultants LLC is hiring a Senior .NET Developer for hands-on feature delivery on Angular + ASP.NET Core + C# supporting a government IT client engagement in New York City.
This seat is for an individual-contributor engineer who designs, codes, tests, and ships. If you are a BA, PM, helpdesk, Exchange/AD admin, pure architect who no longer codes, or someone who only “worked with developers,” do not apply. We hire people who perform and own outcomes — we are not a staffing body shop.
Location: Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201 (on-site ~3 days/week once the engagement starts)
Employment: Full-time W-2 employee of Agility Consultants LLC
Start: Early 2027, contingent on client award / project kickoff
Work authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (W-2 only)
What you will do day to day
• Build and own production features end-to-end on ASP.NET Core / C# / Entity Framework Core / MS SQL
• Ship Angular (8+) or related component UI (AngularJS / TypeScript / React) — code you write, not tickets you hand off
• Apply SOLID in the codebases you touch
• Use AWS plus Jenkins and/or Octopus Deploy in real CI/CD pipelines to get work to production
• Track delivery work in JIRA as an engineer on a sprint team
• Partner with architects and client ITS staff — you implement; you do not only advise
Do not apply if:
• You only administered systems (Exchange, Active Directory, infra-only, helpdesk) without coding applications
• You wrote requirements or managed tickets but did not personally design/build .NET/Angular software
• You cannot show dated résumé evidence (Years + Dates + Employer + what YOU designed/built) for each must-have below
HARD must-haves — 4+ years each (résumé must show Years + Dates + Employer + what YOU designed/built)
□ Angular 8, ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework Core, and MS SQL projects — 4+ years hands-on design/build
□ .NET and Angular using SOLID design principles — 4+ years in code you wrote/owned
□ AngularJS and/or Angular 8 and/or TypeScript and/or React component architecture — 4+ years building UI components
□ AWS and DevOps tooling (Octopus Deploy and/or Jenkins) — 4+ years using these in real delivery pipelines
□ Atlassian JIRA — 4+ years tracking engineering work on delivery teams
Nice-to-haves (not substitutes for the must-haves)
• Public-sector / government IT or large-enterprise web apps
• Security-aware coding, audit logging, multi-tier deployments
• Mentoring other developers while staying deep in the codebase
