We are looking for an experienced Sr. Software Engineer to join a team building highly reliable, cloud-native systems supporting real-time payment processing.
\n
\n
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Java engineer with strong experience in AWS, Spring Boot, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
\n
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
• Design, develop, test, and maintain highly reliable enterprise applications
\n
• Build cloud-native applications using Java, Spring & Spring Boot
\n
• Develop microservices, APIs, and distributed applications on AWS
\n
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies
\n
• Work with containerized and serverless AWS services
\n
• Develop Python scripts for automation and data integration
\n
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes
\n
• Implement Terraform / Infrastructure as Code for cloud deployments
\n
• Support observability, monitoring, resiliency, and production troubleshooting
\n
• Participate in architecture, design, code reviews, and technical decisions
\n
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
\n
\n
Required Qualifications
\n
• 8+ years of Java software development experience
\n
• Strong Spring / Spring Boot experience
\n
• Expertise in microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures
\n
• Hands-on experience with AWS
\n
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architectures
\n
• Working knowledge of Python
\n
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
\n
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
\n
• Strong understanding of scalability, availability, security, and resiliency
\n
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
\n
• Ability to travel up to 10% between NYC and NC offices
\n
\n

\n
• Payments, banking, fintech, clearing, or settlement experience
\n
• AWS Certification
\n
• Kubernetes / Docker
\n
• SRE, observability, and production engineering experience
\n
• SnapLogic or other ETL/data integration tools
\n
• Experience with AI-assisted software development
