Job DescriptionPosition Brief – Project Engineer


The Project Engineer will be an integral member of Optima’s Project Management team, providing critical support to ensure projects are executed with precision, efficiency, and full alignment with Optima’s design-driven standards. This role will focus on managing change orders, maintaining accurate documentation, and leveraging ProCore to keep workflows streamlined and transparent. The Project Engineer acts as a detail-oriented partner to the Project Management team, supporting seamless coordination between the field, subcontractors, consultants, and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the change order process from initiation to execution, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain and update ProCore project records, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and logs.
  • Support the Project Management team in tracking budgets, schedules, and project milestones.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants to gather, review, and process required documentation.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing project reports, meeting minutes, and communication logs.
  • Ensure project documentation meets Optima’s standards for accuracy, detail, and timeliness.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and technical support to ensure smooth project execution.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
  • Proficiency with ProCore and Microsoft Office tools required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a construction project support role (project engineer, coordinator, or similar).
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
