We are looking for a dependable Part Time Test Center Administrator to support a secure testing environment in State College, Pennsylvania. This Contract position is part-time and focused on delivering attentive front-desk support, candidate check-in, and exam room monitoring. The person in this role will help create an organized, fair, and comfortable experience for all test takers while handling administrative and operational tasks with care. Flexibility, sound judgment, and strong customer service skills are important for success in this setting.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome candidates upon arrival, confirm their identification, and guide them through check-in procedures in a courteous and attentive manner.
• Conduct required security screening measures, including the use of handheld screening tools, to protect the integrity of the testing environment.
• Monitor exam sessions through routine walkthroughs and observation to ensure compliance with site policies and testing standards.
• Respond promptly to candidate concerns, technical issues, or irregular situations and escalate matters when needed.
• Support basic troubleshooting for testing devices and workstations to minimize disruptions during scheduled exams.
• Keep testing materials, equipment, and controlled areas secure at all times while documenting incidents that fall outside established guidelines.
• Assist with administrative duties such as scanning documents, handling clerical tasks, and supporting reception coverage during slower testing periods.
• Maintain accurate records, including candidate documentation and, when required, digital fingerprint capture as part of identity verification.
• Adapt to changing scheduling needs and contribute to site operations, including packing, unpacking, or moving equipment when necessary.
• Support operational continuity during the site’s corporate transition period by following updated procedures and assisting with related workflow needs as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional college coursework is helpful.
• At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience in environments such as retail, hospitality, food service, or similar settings.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with candidates, coworkers, and supervisors in a fast-paced setting.
• Comfortable using Windows-based computers and common business applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web browsers.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prepare accurate written reports, correspondence, and documentation.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining composure in a high-volume, high-pressure environment.
• Able to stand or remain stationary for extended periods, move throughout the testing room regularly, and lift up to 40 pounds when needed.
• Must be eligible by age requirements for the position and able to work a flexible part-time schedule based on site needs.
