Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Systems Analyst 3 with deep expertise in EHR systems, Cerner Millennium, and data transformation. This role will support large-scale EHR migration and modernization initiatives, ensuring clinical workflows and operational requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between clinical stakeholders and technical teams, driving data extraction, transformation, and reporting solutions in complex healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document clinical workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary settings
  • Translate business and clinical requirements into technical specifications and data solutions
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts
  • Perform data extraction, validation, and reconciliation from enterprise healthcare systems
  • Support EHR migration, reporting, and legacy system retirement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes, data feeds, and file extracts
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize system efficiency
  • Collaborate with clinical, technical, and leadership teams
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Support production and non-production environments, including batch processing

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 11+ years of experience in healthcare IT and systems analysis
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations
  • Extensive experience with EHR implementations, migrations, or optimizations
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL)
  • Strong knowledge of Cerner Millennium architecture and Oracle databases
  • Experience with:
    • SQL, Linux
    • Data extraction and migration methodologies
    • ETL process design and support
    • Healthcare data integration and reporting environments
  • Experience with REST/SOA services
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and performance tuning
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following:
    • Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, or similar
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a senior Cerner consultant or technical lead role
  • Experience supporting Cerner Millennium environments at scale
