Software/Firmware Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Software/Firmware Design Engineer to develop, test, and troubleshoot embedded software for microprocessors and microcontrollers. The ideal candidate will have strong C/C++ programming skills, hands-on experience with motor control systems, and a background in software testing and verification.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Develop, program, and troubleshoot embedded software and firmware.

\n

• Write and maintain code using C, C++, and C#.

\n

• Support sensor-based and sensorless BLDC and DC motor control systems.

\n

• Perform static analysis, unit testing, integration testing, and software verification.

\n

• Troubleshoot software and electromechanical systems.

\n

• Develop Python scripts for testing and automation.

\n

• Support software requirements, architecture, design, implementation, and integration.

\n

• Utilize Git and project management tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Strong experience with C, C++, and C# programming.

\n

• Embedded software and microcontroller programming experience (8, 16, and 32-bit).

\n

• Hands-on motor control experience with BLDC and DC motors.

\n

• Experience with software testing, including static analysis, unit, integration, white-box, and black-box testing.

\n

• Python scripting experience.

\n

• Electromechanical troubleshooting experience.

\n

• Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps or JIRA.

\n

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical device software development experience.

\n

• Knowledge of FDA design controls and IEC 62304.

\n

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

\n

• Background in software architecture, requirements, and integration.
