Power BI Developer & Data Analyst

We are currently seeking a Power BI Developer & Data Analyst to join our Information Technology team.
Key Responsibilities
The Power BI Developer & Data Analyst will design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports for both internal stakeholders and external clients. This individual will collaborate with department leaders understand business needs and develop reporting solutions that support informed decision-making.
Core responsibilities include:
- Design and build Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards for internal operations (HR, finance, utilization, and performance metrics) and client delivery
- Translate approved ideas from employees and leadership into clear, actionable visual reports
- Create and maintain Power BI datasets, data models, and DAX measures
- Manage Power BI Service (publishing, scheduled refreshes, permissions, and report lifecycle governance)
- Connect to and transform data from sources such as Excel, SQL databases, SharePoint, and accounting/ERP systems using Power Query (M language)
- Build clean, scalable, and reusable data models using star schema or other best-practice dimensional design
- Document data sources, transformations, and refresh schedules to ensure reports remain reliable and auditable
- Identify and flag data quality issues and partner with source system owners to resolve them
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Accounting/Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Demonstrated Power BI experience (coursework, capstone, internship, or self-directed projects); candidates should be prepared to share work samples
- Working knowledge of DAX, including calculated columns, measures, and KPIs
- Experience connecting to and transforming data using Power Query (M language)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to non-technical audiences
