Hours: 40 hours/week

\n
We are partnering with a State of Mississippi organization seeking an experienced Director of IT Services to provide senior-level leadership across enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, networking, IT service delivery, vendor management, and technology modernization.
\n
This individual will serve in a highly visible leadership capacity, partnering closely with executive IT leadership and cross-functional technical teams to support day-to-day operations while driving modernization, governance, resiliency, and service improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
\n

- Provide strategic and operational leadership across enterprise IT infrastructure and services
- Oversee enterprise cloud environments, including provisioning, monitoring, capacity management, governance, and cost optimization
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Lead enterprise networking and telecommunications operations, including LAN/WAN, wireless, DNS, load balancing, remote connectivity, and unified communications
- Oversee IT service desk and end-user support operations, including incident management, SLAs, KPIs, escalation processes, and customer satisfaction
- Lead enterprise infrastructure operations across compute, storage, virtualization, operating systems, backup, monitoring, and related platforms
- Establish and maintain disaster recovery, high availability, redundancy, and resiliency strategies
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to support security controls, risk assessments, compliance reviews, vulnerability remediation, and audit activities
- Provide oversight of technology vendors, managed service providers, contracts, SOWs, procurement activities, and vendor performance
- Lead IT service management and governance processes across incident, problem, change, configuration, request, and service-level management
- Develop executive-level dashboards, reporting, service catalogs, SOPs, and operational documentation
- Lead major incident response, root cause analysis, corrective action, and service restoration efforts
- Coordinate across infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, architecture, procurement, and application teams
- Provide regular executive updates on service health, risks, priorities, performance, and modernization progress

Required Qualifications
\n
- \n
- 10+ years of progressive information technology experience, including significant enterprise IT operations and infrastructure responsibility
- 8+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing technical teams, engineers, managers, or support personnel
- Experience managing enterprise cloud environments, including AWS
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and Landing Zone architectures
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including LAN/WAN, DNS, load balancing, wireless infrastructure, and telecommunications
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms
- Experience managing IT service desk operations, service-level management, incident management, and customer satisfaction metrics
- Experience with IT vendor management, contract oversight, SOW development, and procurement support
- Experience with enterprise data protection, backup, recovery, and resiliency
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, compliance frameworks, and IT governance within regulated environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues to executive audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications
\n

- Experience working in state or federal government IT environments
- Experience in healthcare, human services, or other regulated environments
- AWS certifications
- ITIL certification
- Identity and access management experience
- Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and DevOps experience
- Experience leading on-premises to cloud migrations
- Experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR
- PMP or similar project management certification
- Master’s degree in a technology or management discipline
- Experience with HIPAA or comparable regulatory/security frameworks
