Electrical Project Manager
We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager for our Sacramento, California, office. This person will potentially perform work in multiple market sectors, including municipal, educational, medical, federal, and other private market project types.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with new clientele, developing business relationships, and investing their time in mentoring the team. We stress customer service and are looking for someone who prides themselves on their ability to interact and communicate with everybody involved.
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Electrical Design and Project Management with the ability to put together complete sets of biddable construction documents.
- Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to maintain client relationships as an ambassador for Design West Engineering
- Strong experience with AutoCAD and Revit MEP
- Experience in various project types and market sectors
- Must be able to multitask between different projects and have adaptability to changing technologies, codes, and tools
- Must demonstrate a passion for mentorship
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with complex Electrical systems
- Experience with proposal writing and client development
- LEED certified professional
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Licensed Electrical Engineer in the State of California
Some job duties will include:
- Project Management
- Running point on proposals for your clients and contributing to proposals for secondary markets
- Overseeing some projects as a primary point of contact for the client
- Engaging with clients and leading project team on projects from kick-off to completion of construction.
- Formulate a cohesive design solution within scheduled timelines and project budget.
- Client Development
- Developing client relationships through quality of service and project delivery
- Engage new clients at industry events to develop new business opportunities
- Team Development
- Direct supervisor to the assigned design team
- Mentoring and training for your team
- Quality control for projects you oversee

Targeted Compensation:
- $90,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience
- Opportunity for a bonus twice per year
