Robert Half is searching for an ERP Project Manager to support a pet manufacturing company. This ERP Project Manager will be responsible for aligning project scope and timeline as the organization approaches the phase 2 implementation of Sage X3. Location: 100% Remote but will be required to travel a few times during the engagement to Omaha, NE. Travel expenses will be covered.
Schedule: Monday – Friday Core hours in CST Time zone
Job Duties:
- Co-lead Phase 1 implementation of Sage X3 at the company’s largest manufacturing site in Omaha, NE.
- Partner with another PM and collaborate with a broader project team of 20–30, including 3 PMs, 9 BAs, and 10+ external consultants.
- Drive project execution and timeline adherence to prepare for Phase 2.
- Oversee 18 integrations with key platforms (e.g., Amazon, Tractor Supply).
- Manage scheduling, scope definition, testing readiness, training prep, and go-live coordination.
- Engage with the steering committee and navigate challenging stakeholder dynamics.
- Support the transition from Innatrack and NetSuite to Sage X3, with a focus on Finance, Accounting, and Manufacturing modules.
- Contribute to the development of an M& A playbook including URS, traceability matrices, FDA validation, testing protocols, and detailed project planning.
- Ability to travel to Omaha, NE and other US locations at least a couple of times in the next few months
- Extensive proven ERP Project Management experience – this is a Functional PM role (Sage X3 experience preferred but not required)
- Experience supporting Finance and Accounting teams during ERP projects
- Experience in a manufacturing industry
- Experience with: User Requirements Specification (URS), Traceability matrix, Testing, FDA validation process, Detailed project plans
- Very strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with demanding and upset stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills to help build out M& A playbook for future projects
- High initiative – need this person to take work off their manager’s plate and keep the project on track
