ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER
Pay: $80,000 – $95,000 per year
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial electrical projects from start to finish.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong commercial electrical background who can manage budgets, schedules, manpower, materials, subcontractors, and project teams while keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of Electrical Project Management experience
- Experience managing commercial electrical projects up to $2 million
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical construction
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and change orders
- Working knowledge of Local and National Electrical Code requirements
- Experience with AccuBid and Bluebeam
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical projects from initiation through completion
- Plan and maintain project budgets, schedules, manpower, and material requirements
- Review initial job estimates and take ownership of project budgeting
- Work closely with Superintendents to establish project scope, goals, schedules, and workforce requirements
- Review contracts, drawings, plans, specifications, and change orders
- Coordinate with General Contractors, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and clients
- Monitor project costs and provide accurate cost-to-complete forecasts
- Track job performance through construction schedules and project management software
- Manage procurement and ensure materials and equipment are available when needed
- Identify and document project delays, accelerations, and potential reimbursement items
- Prepare project reports, job-cost analysis, monthly billings, and ownership updates
- Schedule and conduct required project meetings
- Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory safety standards
- Lead, train, motivate, and manage project team members
- Oversee project closeout and turnover
- Maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, field personnel, and internal teams
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years successfully managing commercial electrical projects
- Experience managing projects valued up to $2,000,000
- Proficiency with AccuBid, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with construction contracts, subcontracts, addendums, specifications, and change orders
- Strong understanding of project estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control
- Experience negotiating with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
- Ability to read and interpret electrical construction plans and specifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Florida Driver’s License in good standing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of field experience as a Commercial Electrician
- Bilingual – English/Spanish
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Schedule & Travel
This position is primarily office-based, with occasional visits to active project sites.
Travel is primarily local, with minimal out-of-area or overnight travel as needed.
