Job Description
Deployment Manager | AI / Strategy / Consulting
\n
\n
We’re hiring a Deployment Manager in either NY or SF to build and lead a growing client deployment function at a fast-growing AI company transforming how consulting firms, investment firms, and corporate strategy teams conduct research, diligence, and strategic analysis.
\n
\n
This is a senior, hands-on builder role. You’ll personally lead our most strategic and complex client engagements — from trial/POC through conversion, adoption, and expansion — while building the methodology, playbooks, and team that allow the deployment function to scale.
\n
You’ll report to the Head of Deployment and work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Commercial Operations.
\n
\n
The Role
\n
\n
You’ll have responsibility across the full client journey, including:
\n
\n
- \n
- Personally leading the most strategic and complex client engagements, from trial/POC through conversion and ongoing adoption.
- Hiring, training, mentoring, and managing Deployment Consultants as the function scales.
- Building and codifying a repeatable deployment methodology covering trials/POCs, onboarding, enablement, adoption, and expansion.
- Owning trial/POC conversion, adoption, expansion, and retention metrics across the deployment portfolio.
- Acting as the senior escalation point when engagements or client relationships become challenging.
- Partnering closely with Sales to create a seamless handoff from prospecting and POCs into deployment.
- Working with Product and Engineering to translate client use cases and feedback into product priorities and successful feature rollouts.
- Identifying patterns across engagements and turning what works into scalable playbooks and processes.
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Why This Role Matters
\n
\n
Every trial or POC is an opportunity to create a long-term customer relationship. The success of that relationship depends on how effectively clients adopt the product, integrate it into their workflows, and expand their usage.
\n
\n
You’ll be responsible for turning a function with strong institutional knowledge into a structured, scalable, and repeatable practice — while continuing to personally influence our highest-impact client engagements.
\n
\n
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys both being in the room with senior clients and building the team and operating model behind them.
\n
\n
What We’re Looking For
\n
\n
You’ll bring:
\n
\n
- \n
- Deep understanding of strategy, research, diligence, or related knowledge-work workflows.
- Significant experience leading complex, high-stakes client engagements.
- Strong client-facing communication and executive presence.
- Experience driving change, adoption, training, or new ways of working within client organisations.
- A track record of leading, mentoring, or developing others.
- The ability to recognise patterns across multiple engagements and turn them into repeatable approaches.
- Strong judgement and comfort acting as the escalation point when situations become ambiguous or challenging.
- The strategic ability to prioritise across a portfolio of clients rather than focusing solely on individual engagements.
- A builder mentality — you’re excited by the opportunity to create and improve the operating model rather than simply inherit one.
