Job Description
Continuous Improvement Manager – Northampton, PA
Fuller Technologies is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to help drive the next stage of operational transformation across our organization.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. We are looking for someone who can think strategically about where an organization needs to go while also rolling up their sleeves to help make it happen.
The ideal candidate comes from a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment, such as engineered products, industrial equipment, capital equipment, or other complex manufacturing operations. This is not a traditional high-volume production-line CI role.
This individual will partner across manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, supply chain, suppliers, and other functions to improve how work flows across the enterprise. They will build and lead cross-functional teams, strengthen communication and accountability, identify barriers and waste, and translate improvement opportunities into measurable results.
What we're looking for:
-
7+ years of manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or Continuous Improvement experience
-
Strong hands-on Lean/Continuous Improvement background
-
Experience with Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, standard work, visual management, 5S, root-cause problem solving, flow, pull, and waste elimination
-
Demonstrated success improving cost, productivity, lead time, inventory, quality, and/or delivery
-
Experience in high-mix, low-volume, engineered-product, capital-equipment, or project-based manufacturing
-
Ability to assess an operation, identify priorities, and develop a practical improvement roadmap
-
Strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to influence teams without direct authority
-
Experience working across manufacturing and supply chain; sourcing/procurement exposure is highly desirable
-
Ability to communicate effectively from the shop floor through senior leadership
-
Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus, but demonstrated application and results matter more than certification
This role has no direct reports, but will have significant visibility and influence across the organization. We need someone with the experience and leadership capability to understand the bigger picture while remaining close enough to the work to personally drive execution.
