JOB SUMMARY:

\n

The Lending Analyst supports consumer and residential lending by connecting lending strategy, systems, data, processes, and emerging technology. This role partners across lending and technology functions to improve how work gets done, with responsibility for system integrations and testing, data integration and governance, system administration and optimization, process automation, and AI agent development. The ideal candidate is curious, business-minded, technically inclined, and motivated by measurable outcomes. Deep expertise in every platform is not expected on day one; success depends on a positive attitude, strong learning agility, sound judgment, and a willingness to build expertise through hands-on work and coaching.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n

    \n
  • Support consumer and residential lending initiatives by translating business needs into practical system, data, workflow, and automation solutions.
  • \n

  • Coordinate, test, and validate integrations among loan origination systems, core account systems, Jack Henry products, third-party lending platforms, and related data sources.
  • \n

  • Develop and execute user acceptance testing, regression testing, test scripts, and issue tracking for new releases, configuration changes, vendor implementations, and process improvements.
  • \n

  • Assist with lending system administration, configuration, permissions, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization to improve usability, controls, and efficiency.
  • \n

  • Support data integrations and data governance by helping define source-of-truth fields, mappings, data quality standards, documentation, and controls used across lending systems and reporting.
  • \n

  • Build and maintain process automations using Microsoft Power Automate and related tools, with emphasis on reducing manual work, improving consistency, and creating exception-based workflows.
  • \n

  • Design, build, test, and maintain AI agents and related workflows in Microsoft Copilot Studio and other approved platforms to support lending operations, analysis, service, documentation, and decision support.
  • \n

  • Create and maintain current-state and future-state process maps, procedural maps, workflows, data flows, system documentation, testing documentation, and supporting job aids for lending processes and technology initiatives.
  • \n

  • Analyze processes and system usage to identify bottlenecks, control gaps, duplicate work, poor handoffs, and opportunities for automation or redesign.
  • \n

  • Partner with consumer lending, mortgage, IT, data/BI, operations, compliance, vendors, and other stakeholders to move projects from concept through implementation and stabilization.
  • \n

  • Monitor implemented solutions for performance and adoption, document lessons learned, and recommend changes that improve business outcomes, member experience, employee experience, accuracy, or speed.
  • \n

  • Support lending reporting and analysis as needed, including validating data outputs, reconciling system behavior, and helping ensure management has reliable information for decision-making.
  • \n

  • Assist with credit analysis and portfolio monitoring as needed, including reviewing application and borrower data, credit reports, income and debt obligations, collateral information, risk indicators, and loan performance trends; prepare clear analysis that supports underwriting, loan committee, pricing, policy, and portfolio management decisions.
  • \n

  • Maintain appropriate documentation, change controls, security practices, and governance standards for lending systems, automations, AI agents, and integrations.
  • \n

  • Perform other duties and special projects that support lending growth, operational excellence, risk management, and strategic priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, data analytics, computer information systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • \n

  • Experience in lending, financial services, systems administration, business analysis, data, operations, process improvement, or a related technical/business role is preferred, but strong aptitude and transferable skills may substitute for direct experience.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, learning agility, and comfort working through unfamiliar systems or problems; willingness to learn specific lending platforms and tools through coaching and hands-on experience is essential.
  • \n

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect technical details to business objectives and practical operational outcomes.
  • \n

  • Ability to organize and document complex processes clearly, including workflows, procedures, requirements, testing results, decisions, and follow-up items.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to test methodically, identify exceptions, troubleshoot issues, and validate that solutions work as intended before deployment.
  • \n

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with lending staff, technical teams, vendors, management, and other cross-functional partners.
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, consumer and mortgage lending concepts, data controls, privacy requirements, and regulatory expectations applicable to credit union lending.
  • \n

  • Experience with Jack Henry/Episys products, loan origination systems, Microsoft Power Automate, Copilot Studio, APIs/integrations, SQL, reporting tools, or similar platforms is a plus, not a requirement.
  • \n

  • High level of integrity, sound judgment, accountability, and a collaborative, positive approach to change and continuous improvement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

\n

    \n
  • Office-based role with regular collaboration across lending, technology, operations, data, compliance, and vendor teams; occasional travel to branch or partner locations may be required.
  • \n

  • Full-time position with occasional evening or weekend work during system implementations, releases, testing windows, or other time-sensitive projects.
  • \n

  • Role requires sustained computer-based work and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, priorities, and follow-up items.
  • \n
