The Quality Assurance Operation Technical Specialist executes routine technical support activities for GMP Manufacturing Operations across multi-product, Manufacturing, Fill, and Finish CDMO facilities. This role involves cross-functional deviation investigations, CAPAs, AIs, targeted innovations, audit support, and overall plant performance. The specialist supports all local sites and collaborates closely with Quality, Operations, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MSAT, and Project Management to achieve site objectives. This position is on-site and requires availability for an on-call schedule for technical support and site deviation analysis, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Execute routine technical support activities for GMP Manufacturing Operations.
- Conduct cross-functional deviation investigations and implement CAPAs and AIs.
- Support targeted innovations and audit processes.
- Enhance overall plant performance.
- Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MSAT, and Project Management to support site objectives.
- Provide on-call technical support and conduct site deviation analysis, as required.
Essential Skills
- Quality assurance expertise.
- Quality control knowledge.
- Proficiency in technical writing.
- Bachelors degree in life sciences, engineering, or equivalent training/experience.
- 0-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry and FDA regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a CMO and sterile filling, manufacturing, and/or fill finish environment is preferred.
- Strong aptitude in root cause analysis.
- Experience with LEAN/six-sigma methodologies is a plus.
Work Environment
This is an office-based position but requires visits to the manufacturing floor to communicate directly with subject matter experts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
