Lead Desktop Deployment Technician - 3 Month Contract

Location: Starkville, MS

Rate: $38 /hour plus benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, 401K

Start Date: Immediately

End Date: 12/1/26

Must be local to Starkville, MS and surrounding areas – Fully Onsite

Schedule: 40 hours a week (8am-5pm)

Onboarding Requirements: Drug Test, Background Check

Out of Pocket Clinical Compliance: Flu, TB, MMR, and Varicella

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Desktop Support Technician or equivalent IT experience
  • 2 years or more of Lead or Managerial experience with direct reports
  • Healthcare or Epic experience is a major plus

Role & Responsibilities

  • Leads: Have experience leading / managing resources in some sort of capacity
  • Will be managing a team of Technicians, communicating with the Project Managers, keeping technicians utilized, supporting with tasks as needed and doing deployment and device Testing as well.
  • Technicians will be responsible for the deployment of devices in support of an exciting initiative to deliver enterprise scale Epic EMR to a health system.
  • These devices include workstations, thin clients, printers, e-signature pads, bar code scanners, and other end-user devices that integrate with the Epic EHR.
  • Technicians will also be testing each device in the weeks and months prior to go-live.
  • Testing workstations and peripheral devices, using Epic software modules and executing Epic test scripts, to ensure printing queues are created and printers are mapped to the correct workstations, and peripheral devices are working as expected.
  • Viewing, creating, and modifying Excel worksheets.
  • Providing detailed information on each failed workstation or device, using Epic modules and Epic test-script outputs, to ensure proper and efficient turnaround times for failure troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Understand expected results and document failures effectively based on test script requirements.
