Position Overview

Corporate Hiring Solutions Inc. (CoHires) is seeking an experienced Cyber Command Vulnerability Management Specialist to support a large-scale cybersecurity and threat management initiative. The selected professional will serve as a subject matter expert in vulnerability management, threat intelligence, risk assessment, and cybersecurity operations, helping protect critical systems and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats.

This role requires a highly skilled cybersecurity professional with extensive experience conducting vulnerability assessments, managing enterprise vulnerability scanning tools, analyzing security risks, and supporting remediation efforts across complex technology environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and security analyses across enterprise networks and systems.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, CVEs, CVSS scores, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.
  • Configure, manage, and optimize vulnerability management platforms, including Rapid7.
  • Design and maintain vulnerability scanning infrastructure and related security tools.
  • Perform risk assessments and prioritize vulnerabilities based on business impact and threat intelligence.
  • Develop remediation recommendations and collaborate with technical teams to reduce organizational risk.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and executive summaries detailing vulnerability trends and remediation progress.
  • Automate vulnerability management processes using Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
  • Support attack surface management initiatives and continuous security monitoring efforts.
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to management, stakeholders, and technical teams.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with cybersecurity documentation, security standards implementation, and compliance activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or information security.
  • Extensive experience with Rapid7 vulnerability management solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of CVEs, CVSS, MITRE ATT&CK Framework, NVD, attack vectors, and vulnerability intelligence.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and remediation planning.
  • Advanced scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing security reports, dashboards, and analytical presentations.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced reporting and data analysis functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tableau or other reporting platforms.
  • Knowledge of network security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, DNS, and proxy solutions.
  • Experience supporting Windows, Linux, VMware, cloud, and enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with NIST, CIS, and other cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, CEH, or equivalent.
