Job DescriptionWe are partnering with the Department of Human Services (DHS) from the State of Rhode Island to find a Data Analyst to support the reconciliation and validation of grant-related financial data. This person will work directly with state agency staff to identify discrepancies, research variances, and ensure grant data is complete, accurate, and properly documented.
Compensation: $37.00
Key Responsibilities of the Data Analyst:
- Reconcile grant financial data between systems.
- Review financial transactions, balances, expenditures, drawdowns, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify, research, and resolve data discrepancies
- Perform detailed data analysis using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
- Prepare reconciliation schedules, variance reports, and supporting documentation.
Required Qualifications of the Data Analyst:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filters, pivot tables, lookups, and data validation.
- Experience with federal or state grants - preferred
- Experience reconciling financial, accounting, or grant data - preferred
- Familiarity with Workday or another ERP system.
- Bachelor's Degree
