The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills:
Industry: Aero-Engine (i.e. gas turbine / turbomachinery). US Citizenship required.
Shifts: Full and Part Time roles available. P/T defined as 20 to < 32 hrs/wk on avg. F/T as 40 hrs/wk. Alternate Work Week (AWW) shift comprised of 10-12 hr days Friday-Sunday plus remaining 4 to 10 performed elsewise.
Various locations (as shown). Named city/states require routine travel to customer site for majority of hours. Remainder can be work from office/work from home.

(3) Central CT (East Hartford, Middletown) - first shift
(2) North Berwick, ME - 1 second shift; 1 AWW
(1) Asheville, NC - first shift
(1) Columbus, GA - first shift
Work Experience:
- BSAE / BSME (required)
- 7+ years (for Partial Engine cert) / 15+ years (for Full Engine Cert) of Gas Turbine Engine (Aero-preferred/Marine/Industrial - considered) component level Design Engineer experience (min requirements).
- MRB (Material Review Board) and/or Non-Conformance process experience (noteworthy)
- Engineering / Quality Signatory responsibilities (noteworthy)
- Quality Engineering experience (Part Qualification, Non-Conforming Material, QMS, Continuous Improvement Projects)
- Other Quality Certifications (noteworthy)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Primary: Review and disposition Non-Conforming Material (parts), Deviation Requests, and Waivers from OEM and supply base, as well as relatable reviews supporting Aftermarket MRO. Work includes ability to review fit, form, function, interchangeability, health, safety, intended use, weight, appearance and classification (major vs minor) based on provided / requested technical information. Interact technically with Design Authority as needed. Also, possess ability to determine/review part repair requirements or usage parameters.
- Primary: Must be able to obtain and hold "Certified MRE" (Material Review Engineer) status to remain in this role. MRE customer (re)certification training provided by Quest Global.
- Provide technical work review/training/mentorship/support to others
- Conduct other typical design / manufacturing / quality engineering activities
- Support business growth
Work Experience
- Component level aero/marine/industrial power gas turbine design experience - including material and engineering principles (fit, form, function).
- Ability to read/interpret drawings including understanding of GD&T
- Reviewing engineering assessments, tolerance stacks, engineering change/deviations, repairs
- Applying Quality Requirements / Assessing hardware / Interpreting inspection data
- Familiarity of CAB (Corrective Action Board) activities
- Presenting technical data/results to customer and regulatory representatives (Federal Aviation Administration; Defense Contract Management Admin)
- Knowledge (breadth and depth) of modern high tech manufacturing processes (metal, composites) and associated support equipment, gaging, and handling
- Interaction with MRP systems (Oracle/SAP/CAPP/Solumina)
- Developing/mentoring less experienced engineers

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Office and/or Shop Floor Environments
- Lift / Transport 25 lb (if/when working on-site)

- Typically includes substantial amounts of computer work – but can also include hands-on activities (e.g. lifting, inspecting, transporting, etc.)
- Heavily Regulated Industry with strict adherence to procedures and standard work
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late, arriving early, OT
- Ability to use personal transportation (work, customer, other)
- Due to customer’s work classification and security, candidate’s citizenship status must be: “U.S. Citizen”
