Job DescriptionPosition Summary: We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Network Administrator to manage and support our Windows-based infrastructure, VMware virtualization environment (vCenter), and Cisco networking systems. This role requires a detail-oriented detail oriented who is able to delegate effectively, follow through on tasks, and drive initiatives to completion with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities: Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP. Manage and optimize VMware vCenter infrastructure, including VM provisioning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring. Maintain and configure Cisco network devices (switches, routers, firewalls), ensuring secure and reliable connectivity across the organization. Implement system and network updates, patches, and upgrades regularly. Take initiative to identify infrastructure improvement opportunities and lead implementation projects. Delegate tasks to entry level IT staff or managed service providers, ensuring follow-up and accountability. Collaborate with internal teams to support system needs for ongoing projects and daily operations. Monitor network and system performance; respond to alerts and outages in a timely manner. Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, networks, and procedures. Enforce IT security best practices and participate in security audits or remediation efforts. Provide tier 2/3 technical support to resolve escalated issues. Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are tested and operational.Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a Network/System Administrator in a Windows-only environment Strong experience with VMware vSphere / vCenter administration Hands-on experience configuring and managing Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and network services (DNS, DHCP, etc.) Proven ability to follow up, drive projects to completion, and manage priorities Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills Experience with monitoring and management tools
Preferred Qualifications: Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE) Familiarity with backup solutions (e.g., Veeam) and storage systems Experience working in a multi-site enterprise environment
