Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Junior Systems Administrator to provide Tier 1 Help Desk support and assist with routine system administration tasks. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who has a strong desire to learn, grow, and support day-to-day technical operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, basic troubleshooting knowledge, and the ability to follow documented procedures while working alongside senior IT staff.

Key Responsibilities

\n

Help Desk / End User Support (Primary)

\n

    \n
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming technical support requests (in-person, email, ticketing system, phone).
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues for end users.
  • \n

  • Provide support for workstation setup, configuration, imaging, and deployment.
  • \n

  • Assist with password resets, account lockouts, MFA troubleshooting, and basic user administration.
  • \n

  • Document all support interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • \n

Systems Administration (Secondary / Entry-Level)

\n

    \n
  • Assist with user account creation, permission changes, and group management in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or similar systems.
  • \n

  • Perform routine system checks, updates, patching, and maintenance under supervision.
  • \n

  • Support basic network tasks such as identifying connectivity issues or assisting with equipment installation.
  • \n

  • Help maintain IT asset inventory, including hardware tracking and lifecycle management.
  • \n

  • Assist with backup monitoring, basic server tasks, or security configuration as directed by senior administrators.
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • 3 years of IT support experience
  • \n

  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, common business applications, and network fundamentals.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, or similar platforms.
  • \n

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to follow instructions, troubleshoot independently, and document work clearly.
  • \n

  • Must be able to work on-site at the North Little Rock location.
  • \n

Preferred Qualifications

    \n
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence).
  • \n

  • Relevant Certs.
  • \n

  • Exposure to virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), basic server operations, or backup systems.
  • \n

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
  • \n

  • Desire and willingness to grow into more advanced systems administration responsibilities.
  • \n

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

\n

    \n
  • Ability to lift 25–40 lbs. for hardware deployment.
  • \n

  • On-site role with occasional off-hour support depending on operational needs.
  • \n
