Position: Database Performance Engineer

Location: NYC, NY( 3 days onsite is must)

Duration: 12 Months

We need a person who is not a database maintenance guy but a data engineer with deep DB2 and good Snowflake experience.
\n
\n
Here is what we are looking for:
\n
\n
- \n
- DB2 database expertise and DB2 development experience not a DB2 maintenance person (8+ years)
- Ability to think through issues like a DBA
- Deep experience in SQL performance tuning experience on DB2 (6+ years)
- Understanding, developing and refactoring stored procedures on DB2 to DB2 SQL (6+ years)
- Identifying stored procedures that can be extracted and programmed in Scala or a similar programming language (4+ years)
- Exposure and hands-on understanding of Snowflake warehouses and Snowflake SQL tuning (2+ years)
- Scala development to re-write existing Stored Procedures in Scala (4+ years)
