Position Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide Tier I technical support for end users in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues, supporting desktop and mobile technologies, and delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier I technical support for hardware, software, operating system, and basic network-related issues.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems; escalate complex issues when appropriate.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Support Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments, ensuring systems remain operational and secure.
  • Deliver both remote and onsite technical assistance to end users across multiple locations.
  • Configure and support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Assist with user account administration, password resets, access management, and productivity tool support.
  • Utilize Active Directory to create, modify, and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
  • Support endpoint administration and troubleshooting using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM).
  • Perform hardware deployments, software installations, system upgrades, and equipment replacements.
  • Document incidents, service requests, resolutions, and technical procedures within the ticketing system.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise endpoints to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Provide professional, customer-focused communication and maintain a high level of user satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a Desktop Support, Help Desk, or End User Support role.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of desktop hardware, peripherals, and mobile device support.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration tools.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) or similar endpoint management tools.
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts, connectivity troubleshooting, and remote support tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise environments with 100+ users.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications.
  • Exposure to ITIL-based service management processes.
  • Experience with endpoint monitoring and device lifecycle management.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Boca Raton, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
