Project Scope

The resource will be engaged to support the migration and validation of three optimization planning models from client systems to DPS systems: Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization (MEIO), Capacity Planning, and Capacity Expansion. The focus will be scoped to the solution roadmap and delivery for this project.

Optimization Specialist role to cover a specific project, with the models largely built in python on the Gurobi platform.

Location: New Jersey, USA – Onsite Experience: 6+ years Engagement: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Optimization Specialist / Operations Research Scientist to support the migration, validation, and deployment of enterprise supply-chain optimization models covering Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization (MEIO), Capacity Planning, and Capacity Expansion. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Python, Gurobi, mathematical optimization, and supply-chain modeling.

Key Responsibilities:
\n
· Develop, migrate, and validate mathematical optimization models using Python and Gurobi.
\n
· Design and optimize MILP/LP models for inventory, capacity planning, and production/supply-chain scenarios.
\n
· Perform solver tuning, infeasibility analysis, benchmarking, and model validation.
\n
· Integrate optimization models with enterprise data sources and support technical documentation/knowledge transfer.
\n
Must-Have Skills:
\n
· 6+ years of mathematical optimization/Operations Research experience.
\n
· 3+ years of hands-on Gurobi with Python (gurobipy).
\n
· Strong MILP, LP, Integer Programming, Python, and Git skills.
\n
· Experience with MEIO, Capacity Planning, or Production Scheduling.
\n
· Ability to work on site in New Jersey.
\n
Preferred: Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare manufacturing, or other complex manufacturing/supply-chain environments.
