Job Description

Our client, a rapidly growing organization in the insurance space, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IT Portfolio Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working across teams, managing multiple priorities, and bringing structure and visibility to complex IT initiatives.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with project managers, finance, and technical teams to help ensure projects are tracked, prioritized, and executed effectively. If you enjoy working with data, building dashboards, and keeping teams aligned, this role offers strong exposure and long-term growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support coordination of multiple IT projects and initiatives across the organization
  • Track project status, timelines, and key milestones to maintain accurate portfolio visibility
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into project performance and resource capacity
  • Partner with project managers and stakeholders to support planning, intake, and prioritization of new work
  • Collaborate with finance and vendor teams on budget tracking, contracts, and renewals
  • Act as a key point of contact to connect teams, drive communication, and ensure initiatives stay on track
  • Assist in optimizing tools and processes used to manage project and portfolio workflows

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience in project coordination, PMO support, or service delivery within an IT or technical environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience creating reports, tracking data, and building dashboards (Excel required)
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar platforms
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum environments
  • Experience supporting budgeting, resource planning, or vendor coordination
  • Interest in improving processes and optimizing tools

Why This Role?

  • High-visibility opportunity with direct exposure to IT leadership
  • Broad exposure across infrastructure, security, and business systems
  • Hands-on experience with tools and processes that support enterprise project delivery
  • Collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong support and mentorship
  • Clear path for growth into project management, operations, or other IT-focused roles
