Pay Range: $35-40/hr

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Analyst to support configuration and change management activities for complex defense programs. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, tracking, and managing engineering change processes while ensuring product lifecycle data remains accurate, compliant, and audit-ready throughout the design, development, and production lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, engineering change workflows, and ERP systems within a manufacturing or defense environment. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and quality teams while supporting mission-critical defense programs.

Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and process internal and external engineering change requests and problem reports related to the design, development, and production of complex defense systems.
  • Monitor assigned programs to ensure engineering changes, configuration items, and workflow processes progress accurately and efficiently through established systems and procedures.
  • Support configuration management activities throughout the product lifecycle while ensuring compliance with company and customer requirements.
  • Attend program meetings and assist in coordinating or facilitating Change Control Board (CCB) and review board meetings as required.
  • Generate reports, metrics, and documentation to support program tracking, audits, and configuration management activities.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) data and configuration records.
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues within the PLM system and provide support to engineering and system users regarding configuration management processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support audits and ensure configuration management documentation complies with established quality and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering change management, product data management, and business processes.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience, including:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience with an Associate's degree.
  • Bachelor's degree with little to no prior professional experience.
  • Experience supporting configuration management, engineering change management, product data management, or related technical processes.
  • Experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, with PTC Windchill preferred.
  • Experience using Oracle ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting workflow issues and supporting process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs or working within the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with engineering change control, configuration audits, and product lifecycle management best practices.
  • Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or production organizations.
  • Knowledge of configuration management principles and engineering documentation processes.
  • Experience participating in process optimization or continuous improvement initiatives.
